Terra Nostra Costruzioni was born from a simple observation: foreign buyers fall in love with Sicilian properties but struggle to navigate the renovation process. Language barriers, unfamiliar permit systems, and finding reliable craftsmen can turn a dream into a nightmare. We bridge that gap.
We've assembled a network of the finest muratori, architects, and engineers in Sicily, craftsmen who share our commitment to quality and our respect for traditional building techniques.

Property search and assessment
We help you find a property and assess it before you buy: its condition, its potential, the likely cost of the works and any paperwork issues.
Documents and permits
Surveys, drawings, CILA, SCIA or Permesso di Costruire, Genio Civile filings, Soprintendenza requests and cadastral updates, prepared with our architects and engineers.
All materials sourced
We source every material, from structural products to tiles, stone, windows and sanitaryware, and time each delivery to the work on site.
Building work
Demolition, structural strengthening, masonry, roofs, plaster, screeds and floors, carried out by Sicilian muratori who know local buildings.
Impianti
Electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling systems, installed as part of the works and handed over with their declarations of conformity.
Interior design
Layouts, finishes, lighting and furnishing, developed with interior designers so the home works as well as it looks.
Turnkey handover

Building With Sicily's Own Materials
Each part of the island builds differently. Around Catania and Etna, black lava stone (pietra lavica) is used for paving, steps and thresholds. In Ragusa and Modica, honey-coloured limestone and the dark pietra pece shape façades and floors, while Noto was rebuilt after the 1693 earthquake in a soft golden calcarenite that needs gentle cleaning and compatible mortars.
Across Sicily, lime plasters, terracotta and dry stone walls (muretti a secco) are part of the landscape, and near the coast humidity and salt air guide our choice of plasters, fixings and window frames. We repair and reuse original materials where we can, and choose new ones that sit well beside them.
